Glass steam showers need an enclosure that holds heat, not just a door that keeps water off the floor. We design and install the glass for Austin steam baths: full panels, a door with real sweeps, and a layout that works with the steam head. The goal is a room that fogs up and stays that way.
A frameless door with a light sweep will drip less, but it will not hold steam. Heat leaves at the top and at every gap. A steam enclosure closes those paths, uses hardware that can live in moisture, and is measured to the curb and ceiling you actually have.
Glass steam showers are not a standard door with a heavier hinge. The panels have to close the room so steam stays inside long enough to matter.

We look at the curb, the ceiling height, and where the steam head sits. If the ceiling is not a steam ceiling, we say so before you buy glass.
Door, panels, and any transom are drawn so the gaps close. You approve the layout and the metal finish.
Panels are cut to the measure, with notches for the head and hardware already planned.
We set the glass, adjust the door into the sweeps, and run through the close so you can feel that it seals.
Steam is a sealing problem. We install shower enclosures every week, so the hinges, sweeps, and wall conditions are familiar. You get glass that is built for moisture, not a decorative panel that clouds and leaks heat.
Install day is usually one visit after the glass arrives. We protect the bath, set the fixed panels, hang the door, and adjust until the sweeps meet. We do not leave a door that you have to lift to latch.
Tempered glass, seals that belong in a wet room, and hinges that can carry a steam door. Finishes are chosen because they live in humidity, not because they looked good in a dry showroom.
We install sealed shower glass across Austin and know where steam jobs fail: a missing transom, a sweep that does not meet the curb, or a ceiling that was never meant to get wet. We look at those before we cut glass.

Sometimes. The curb, walls, and ceiling have to be able to hold steam. If the shower was built as a normal enclosure, we may need a transom or a different door. We will know after we see it.
We install the glass enclosure. The generator and steam head are usually a plumber or the steam manufacturer. We place the glass around the head location you give us.
It can, if the sweeps and the top of the enclosure actually close. A fully open top will not hold steam. We design the top of the run as part of the job.
A squeegee after use and a cleaner made for shower glass. Steam rooms film up faster. We will show you what to use so you are not etching the glass.
Same family of work. This page is the glass steam shower package: the sealed panels and door. If you already know you want the enclosure style, we can price it from the same visit.
